May Self Target allows a card with a range greater than zero to include the controlling character as a possible target.
- Cards with no range and cards that affect a group of which the character is a member automatically apply to the character without this instruction.

- May Self Target is a specialized instruction. Cards that have it are more flexible to use, primarily Healing and other cards with beneficial effects.
