Pre-Battle Description
With Whorl and Riptide under your control, you finally stand at the foot of Black Plume Mountain. But before you reach the lofty heights where the evil dragon Blizkenripper makes his home, you must endure the creatures he keeps as pets on the lower levels.
Post-Battle Description
The Umber Bulks have collected loot from their previous victims in a moldering heap, and this you ransack before climbing higher through the interior of Black Plume Mountain. Somewhere above, the dragon still awaits. |

Pre-Battle Description
Before you is another maze, its intersections guarded by large idols reminiscent of those you fought in the Ziggurat of Chronak. These emit a sizzling, buzzing drone, as if they are infernal machines charging up for terrible electrical strikes.
Post-Battle Description
The felled totems make sad little sparking sounds, which you can still hear as you leave their maze behind. You cannot help but wonder how many other adventurers before you made it this far, but fell before the might of the dragon Blizkenripper. With a shiver, you gather your resolve and head for a final confrontation with the legendary wyrm. |

Blizkenripper | 1 | ||
Blackhammer | 1 | ||
Pre-Battle Description
In the uppermost cavern of Black Plume Mountain, the white Dragon Blizkenripper makes his frigid abode. Blackhammer bobs in the air next to the foul wyrm. The ancient monster roars its defiance. There is no time to parley; defend yourselves!
Post-Battle Description
The bards will sing your praises, for the white dragon Blizkenripper lies slain at your feet, its body glittering like a chunk of dead ice. The floating weapon Blackhammer submits to you, acknowledging that you are a master worthy of its talents. Now you can return to Aloyzo, and try to convince him to take a safer, more boring line of work than wizardry. You inform the weapons that they will remain in your employ, an idea they agree with, perhaps a little too eagerly. |
