Pre-Battle Description
You contact Aloyzo, who shows great interest in the crystal you retrieved from the temple. He promises to learn more as you begin your descent into the lost city buried beneath it. The subterranean tunnel seems to grow warmer the deeper you travel. You are surprised to see a flickering glow up ahead. You step out of the tunnel into a chamber inhabited by savage dog-men huddles around an evil looking statue. Hot magma dribbles from its stone mouth as it turns slowly to face you!
Post-Battle Description
The last creature hits the dusty ground and you are free to investigate the chamber. The statue's resting place reveals a stash of treasures placed as offerings. You gather them up before moving deeper into the labyrinth. |

Pre-Battle Description
As you progress deeper into the city, the glyphs and carvings on the walls become ever stranger. The sound of rushing water precedes your entry to a chamber intersected by foul smelling canals. Several large jungle cats are grooming something in the corner, something that rises up in anger as it senses you. You recognize it as another ancient monster believed to be long extinct - the dreaded Hyper Thalamus!
Post-Battle Description
The doors open once again as stone blocks rise up from the rank waters. A sealed chest is perched atop the center block, containing treasures for the taking. With the canals filled, you may now cross the room to the exit. |

Curse Idol | 2 | ||
Gnarls | 2 | ||
Pre-Battle Description
You hear birdsong and the cries of arboreal beasts as the ground slopes upwards. The dry heat of the city is gradually replaced by the oppressive humidity of the jungle. The evil giggling of Gnarls betrays their presence, once again gathered around living statues. These appear to be even older in design than the ones in the entryway, yet cleaner and more freshly hewn. There is no time to ponder this oddity; the battle is joined!
Post-Battle Description
You stand victorious! Beyond the exit is another altar set with a glowing crystal. When you remove it, the walls and floor age rapidly, part of the southern wall disintegrating completely. Beyond this opening lies a startling city vista, at the center of which is a huge stone ziggurat glowering under twin moons. Legends say Cardhuntria had two moons many thousands of years ago, which can only mean this temple holds some power over time itself! |
