Mutant Gunner 1
Mutant Brutes 3
Pre-Battle Description
Entering the fortress through what seems to be a postern gate, you encounter a lone inhabitant. However, as you greet him, he emits a roar of fury and yells out in an alien tongue. His compatriots respond quickly and battle is joined!
Post-Battle Description
This fortress is strange indeed. Floors, walls and ceilings are all formed of solid metal. Its inhabitants are no less odd. Although human, they are grossly twisted and distorted – by what foul sorcery you know not. Answers must lie deeper in the metallic monstrosity.
Hints
  • The Mutant Gunner has a range of 7 - pay careful attention to your distance from him.
  • Use a variety of attacks to get around adaptation or Purge the adaptation attachments.

Enemies Quantity
Security Camera 1
Mutant Brutes 2
Mutant Gunners 2
Pre-Battle Description
You have been contacted by a disembodied voice. It warns you not to be seen by the "camera." Perhaps this "camera" is the whirring metal object that spins around in the center of this large room. Whatever it is, you'd best avoid its attentions.
Post-Battle Description
The camera is smashed and the crazed humanoids have been prevented from activating what surely was some sort of alarm. Guided by your aetherial companion, you head deeper into the metal warren in search of an "access card."
Hints
  • The camera usually rotates clockwise, although it will occasionally rotate the other way.
  • The camera always turns as part of a Scan, so standing in front of it is often the safest place to be.

[edit] Part 3 - The Metal Men

Victory Stars Loss Stars
6 6
Enemies Quantity
Security Robot 1
Security Robot 1
Security Cameras 2
Pre-Battle Description
The access card is here in what seems to be an apothecary but as you take it, a blaring horn sounds. Ominous clanking presages the arrival of hulking metal men. Though their origins are unknown, their intentions are all too clear.
Post-Battle Description
Darius is pleased. Now that you have the access card you can utilize a magically moving room that will transport you to another part of the "vessel," as he insists on calling it, where you will find more tasks to complete – and more bizarre enemies, no doubt.
Hints
  • Save your move cards - you'll need them to get out of the way when a robot Charges Up.
  • Mousing over a Charged Laser Barrage in the robot's hand will show you which squares it will hit.
  • With careful positioning, robots can be lured into destroying the cameras or each other.
